Our Santa Run!

I apologise – I forgot to write a post about the Santa Run Lois and I did to raise money for Ecologia Youth Trust (which help fund Kitezh and Orion) back in December. It was great fun, nice to meet other people who had been to Kitezh/Orion before, and to see Liza again, who we met in Orion. The Santa costumes did not fit whatsoever, and they were very hot to run in (and we looked so good!), but seeing the whole of Greenwich Park filled with Santas (over 2,500) was a sight to see! Plus we raised over £200 – so thanks to everyone who donated! Here’s a picture from the Ecologia website:

Also, while we were in Orion, Lois and I co-wrote an article about how much of what you should pack for your year abroad. Obviously, lots of people go to towns and cities, but people like us, who were going to the middle of nowhere, had to pack enough of things such as shampoo to last for three months! We looked on the Third Year Abroad website, but we couldn’t find any articles which gave advice like this, so we published our own: http://www.thirdyearabroad.com/component/k2/item/1449-how-much-of-what-to-pack-for-your-year-abroad.html

For any future year abroaders – definitely check out thirdyearabroad.com, it’s such a great site!

Also, update – I have a potential internship placement! Yay! I will let you know more when I do…

Thanks for reading!
